Pantech is currently teasing an event that will take place on April 18 in South Korea where the phone maker is expected to announce its new flagship smartphone.
According to MyDrivers, the new smartphone will be dubbed the “Vega Iron” and will feature a 5-inch display with a full HD 1920 x 1080-pixel resolution, a quad-core 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 2GB of RAM and a 13-megapixel camera. In other words, the device will be Pantech’s answer to the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the HTC One.
There are differing reports on which Snapdragon chip the Vega Iron will employ. MyDrivers seems to suggest it will offer the Snapdragon 600, but Slashgear says the phone will instead offer the more powerful Snapdragon 800 chip — making it one of the first smartphones to launch with that processor.
Pantech didn’t reveal much else about the device yet, but the full details will no doubt be revealed in just three days.
